Curriculum Vitae
Antonella Palla completed her studies in medicine and received her doctoral degree at the University of Zurich in 2000. In 2008 she completed her medical training as a neurologist at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Zurich. Besides her medical activity at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Zurich, she continued working as a Research Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Center for Vertigo and Neurological Visual Disorders until 2015. Between 2012 and 2015 she was also head of the headache and pain clinic of the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Zurich. In 2015 she was nominated as head of the Department of Neurology of the Zürcher RehaZentrum Wald. Since April 2019 she is working as a full-time ^neurologist at the Swiss Concussion Center.
Antonella Palla was awarded Certificates of Qualification in Neurosonology (2007), Electroencephalography (2014) and Pain (2014). In 2011 she received the Venia Legendi from the University of Zürich (for the work pathophysiology of vestibular neuropathy). Her major research interests are peripheral and central vestibular disorders and headache diseases as well as the effects of head trauma on headaches. She is a member of various national (Vice-president of the Swiss Headache Society) and international societies in the fields of neurology and pain.
